Hello everyone! I'm Tobias, a native German speaker and dedicated teacher. I got a bachelor's degree in German language and literature from Heidelberg University. Besides the fact that I'm an avid reader in the fields of literature and the humanities, I love travelling, in particular discovering Eastern Europe. My interest in foreign languages is a result of these two hobbies. Besides the languages I've been taught at school (English and French), I've been learning Hebrew, Yiddish and Romanian for some years now and have recently started learning Persian. And, of course, there's nothing to say against a nice evening with friends, delicious food and a bottle of wine, or a walk in nature... Having a lot of experience in learning foreign languages myself, I have discovered over the years the methods that work particularly well for me; at the same time, I became aware that everybody needs to go this way on their own and that I, as a teacher, have to support him or her on their individual journey instead of imposing a prefabricated "perfect" method. Adaptivity and open-mindedness are therefore qualities I consider to be particularly important in teaching. There are basically two types of classes you can take with me. We can either have casual conversations and see spontaneously which opportunities for deepening your knowledge of German come up (recommendable for advanced students).
