Hi! I am Larissa, originally from Frankfurt, Germany. For over 6 years, I've been living abroad in places like Costa Rica, Australia, and now Baja California, Mexico. Language learning is a passion of mine— I am fluent in English, speak Spanish, and am learning French. I hold a Bachelor's degree in communication science, journalism and sociology. Since 2019, I’ve been teaching German to students of all levels worldwide and love helping people with it. It’s important to me to create a friendly, judgment-free space. My lessons are flexible and tailored to your needs—whether that’s grammar, conversation, or more. I use a variety of free resources and also work with my students’ materials. Since moving abroad in 2019, I have been teaching German as a foreign language via video chat or in face-to-face sessions. My students come from all over the world, from various age groups and have different skill levels. I really enjoy meeting people and teaching them my native language. It is important to me to create a friendly and judge-free atmosphere for my students where they feel comfortable just speaking and asking questions. I like to work with a variety of free online sources but am also open to work with any material that my students bring to class. Depending on your skill level, we might start at the very beginning, dig into some grammar, do listening, reading and/or conversational practices. Larissa is amazing! She makes you talk a lot and corrects you everytime you make a mistake, which was the 2 main things i was looking for in a teacher. She's very nice and very pleasant, i recommend her 10000%!!

This was my eighth lesson. Larissa brings out the best in me, as much as there is anyway :-). I really enjoy her patience as I try to work things out, and jumps in whenever needed.

I always look forward to my lessons with Larissa. She is patient and kind, has great resources and a very student-focused approach. I feel the right level of challenge in lessons coupled with a feeling of achievement.
