My seven-year-old daughter has been taking lessons with Akane Sensei since April 2023, and my four-year-old son has started taking lessons with Akane Sensei as well. Akane Sensei is amazing. She always has well-planned lessons, and she is fun and energetic. She is so patient when my seven-year-old does not understand something or my four-year-old has trouble keeping on task. It has been incredible to see my seven-year-old learning the hiragana characters! We are so excited to take our children to visit Japan for the first time this summer!

I am lucky to have found Akane-sensei to teach my son a month ago. She is a genuine professional teacher with a talent for imparting and nurturing Japanese language skills, and her lessons are an enjoyable and valuable part of his education. He speaks in Japanese throughout her lessons, and he has made noticeable progress already.

My son took his first class and was so happy at the end. She truly seems like a natural teacher and is so good with teaching young people. We will definitely be continuing our lessons.

Akane-sensei is simply the best! I remember when I first started on iTalki and was so incredibly nervous about my limited, speaking skill, let alone the fact that it was the first time I was looking to do structured classes and learning materials in any sort of capacity in almost 10 years, but I have to say not only did she make me feel incredibly comfortable, but also has made this experience a lot of fun, so I wholeheartedly recommend Akane-Sensei to anyone at any speaking level of Japanese. 🙏

Akane-Sensei made me feel comfortable and made the Japanese language, approachable, with both speaking and listening, even for someone who is not well-versed in it such as myself. I was initially very self-conscious of my speaking ability, and took long pauses to think about what I was saying before I said it, but she was very accommodating. I am looking forward to taking more lessons with her!
