Heather is extremely patient and does a great job of preparing lessons based on how much progress I’ve made. She doesn’t mind if I use English words in sentences when I can’t express myself in Korean, and quickly helps me learn the right words. I highly recommend her to beginners who may not be confident in their Korean skills.

I approached Korean in December as an absolute beginner and was looking for a tutor to assist with the parts I simply cannot handle on my own via self-study (speaking/listening). I chose Heather in part to her time zone being the same as mine and also her profile which at the end states “If you decide to learn Korean, I’ll be your friend for your long journey.” This resonated with me as I like consistency and I knew I was going to undertake something difficult since many of the Asian languages are a far cry from English in form and function. Certainly, the path of learning Korean is arduous, but Heather does an incredible job of helping keep my enthusiasm high through her infectious positivity which is important for learning something that can take a long time to truly comprehend. I can’t say enough kind things about her, and as other reviews have stated she is incredibly punctual. I'd write much more but they stop me at 1000 characters :)

Heather was patient and personable as we worked on vocab and pronunciation. The conversation moved forward easily as we practiced.
