Hello everyone,
My name is Suleyman, and I’m 23 years old. I am currently in my fifth year of medical school, dedicated to my passion for healthcare. I speak four languages at varying levels: Turkish is my mother tongue, and I am also comfortable communicating in English and German.
In my leisure time, I enjoy walking and hiking, as well as practicing yoga and meditation to maintain balance in my life. I consider myself a literary enthusiast, often spending entire days immersed in a good book. Additionally, I am an extroverted person who loves connecting with others. During my first year of medical school, I gained valuable experience working part-time in various roles, including waiter, receptionist and bartender. While these positions were short-lived due to the demands of my studies, they provided me with diverse skills.
I later connected with an American expat in my city who wanted to learn Turkish. I began teaching him, and we have continued our sessions since then. This experience has fueled my interest in teaching my native language and sharing my culture.
I have taught Turkish to individuals from various backgrounds, and I am confident in my ability to assist you in your language learning journey. Mijn lessen en manier van lesgeven
I actively follow studies on language acquisition and agree with many linguists that comprehensible input is the most effective method for learning a language. In my lessons, students are exposed to a variety of understandable Turkish input, allowing us to discuss topics such as politics, finance, and daily life. I encourage my students to speak as much as possible and strive to create a comfortable atmosphere for conversation.
I also use a textbook titled İstanbul: Turkish for Foreigners in my structured lessons. Within this framework, I prioritize speaking activities, dedicating ample time to enhance conversational skills, which many find to be the challenging aspect of language learning.Mijn lesmateriaal
