CANCELLATION POLICY: You need to cancel the lesson at least 24 hours in advance. If not, I will have to charge you since no other student can book that time slot. I am an upper secondary school teacher, with an M.A in secondary education (Swedish and English), a PGCE, and a TEFL/TESOL-certificate. I am licensed to teach in Sweden as well as in the UK, and I have previously studied at UCSD in California (3.89 GPA). In addition to that, I have 6 years of experience teaching in high school and secondary school. I have also worked in an international school in Vietnam. I believe that I, with my qualifications and experience, will be able to help you become fluent in either Swedish or English.

As a teacher, I am professional, structured and I know how to motivate my students - which is exactly why I have had success in my classrooms so far. Since I am a professional teacher - and by professional I mean licensed - I am familiar with the latest methods and approaches to teaching and learning. The fact that I speak four languages is useful for you as a student, as I can incorporate my knowledge of languages into the content that I deliver. Languages are seldom isolated; rather, they are interconnected in such as way that you, if you are able to master several languages, are much more likely to be able to explain grammatical concepts and structures in a pedagogical and digestible way.

My lessons will be completely tailored according to your interests, skills, and needs. It does not matter if you are a beginner, intermediate, or at an advanced level, I will be able to help you improve regardless of your current skill level. I offer conversational lessons and structured lessons with more emphasis on grammar. If you have a request for something specific - just send me a message and we can discuss it further. What I can promise is that my lessons will be fun and engaging and that you, since you are likely to be more motivated with me as your teacher, are going to make great progress.

Get with the program with a pro! Pontus is teaching me to not only to write in Swedish, in preparation for the TISUS exam, but he’s actually teaching me to write clearly.

I have just finished my first lesson with Pontus. He messaged me before we started our lesson asking me what my current level was and what my language goals are for the future. This insured a great lesson where Pontus helpfully corrected my mistakes and overall easy to chat with. I look forward to planning more lessons with Pontus in the future!
