I'm Russian-American by birth, but have lived abroad and studied many foreign languages as a personal interest such as Korean as part of a study abroad program, Arabic during my Bacherlor's degree in Italy, and Norwegian to better connect with my ancestry. I particularly enjoy striving to learn a new language in order to be able to read books in the original version. I also enjoy history podcasts, foreign films and spending time with my family.Ik als leerkracht
As a teacher, I aim to prioritize each student's individual goals and needs in helping them improve in a language. I do my best to help the student find a way of learning that best suits their specific style and personality and that allows them to see results and enjoy the process while maintaining realistic expectations. I don't have one set way of teaching. Rather, I try to figure out what approach would work best with each individual based on what their goals are. I prioritize pronunciation and a strong foundation in basic grammatical concepts as two things that you can build upon confidently.
