Lan is a very kind, friendly and helpful teacher. I felt comfortable to speak, and she politely corrected my mistakes so that I can learn. She pinged me ahead of time to align on my goals and subjects to discuss.

She prepares customized teaching materials based on recent hot topics and trends in China. She is a very thoughtful teacher!

I had my first lesson today with Lan, she is a wonderful teacher! She came prepared to class with a fun, simple, but also effective power point she had customized for me to teach on the vocabulary topic I had requested beforehand for today (food ingredient names and cooking method names). The powerpoint included the character words, the pinyin, and pictures, and she also verbally explained them and verbally gave examples and some context. That was very thoughtful and I appreciated that a lot!
