Nak

After trying so long to find a teacher who could help me improve my Spanish at a intermediate level, I was very happy to have a lesson with Nak. Although I only had one lesson with him, I instantly felt comfortable to talk freely. He was also very motivated to help me surpass the stagnation I have been having with the language, and was attentive with giving me corrections while I spoke. Learning always feels more fun when you have a teacher who is passionate about what they do. If you are looking for that, I recommend trying out a session with Nak!

I'm currently pursuing a Spanish AA degree at my local community college, and recently returned from an intensive immersive 3.5 week study abroad session in Buenos Aires (rather stressful). All-in-all however, I am feeling a bit stuck w/my ability to communicate in real-time conversations.  So.. I'm looking for something different in terms of practice. I've had 3 sessions w/Nak thus far & I like how it's going. I believe we're still getting to know each other (so to speak), but Nak has already shown me a few methods to spot patterns which I don't believe I've seen in my studies thus far. Bueno! I'm looking forward to our upcoming sessions. :-)

Nak can explain the language in such a logical and mechanics driven way that few others can. He is able to articulate in great clarity the linguistic reason behind small details in the language that any native speaker takes for granted. With him, learning is not so much rote memorization, rather it is like engineering. He can always explain why something is as it is, and he gives you the insight to extrapolate beyond the confines of the lesson.

Today was a good session (well, they've all been good).. I brought some sentences I wrote in Spanish and we discussed how they could be adjusted to sound more natural/casual rather than "structured". We also reviewed the rules behind where/when to place an accent (which I previously learned, but don't specifically remember all the time.

Nak is a natural teacher is incredibly patient and meets me where I'm at language wise which I appreciate. He is non-judgmental and quickly understands where my deficits are and helps me correct them. 10/10 would recommend!
