Panos

From day one, Panos has navigated every single one of the intricacies that comes with my being a heritage speaker of Greek and speaking a hybrid of standard Greek and Cypriot. His lessons are meticulously tailored, with plenty of opportunities for discussion and review. He’s helped me to fill a lot of gaps in my knowledge whilst still keeping the lessons interesting, and has helped to smooth out some of the bad language habits I’ve picked up over the years. On top of this, he is friendly, patient, encouraging, and has a great sense of humour. Whilst my original reason for taking up lessons was primarily ‘I should probably be able to communicate better with my relatives’ (i.e. more out of obligation than anything else), I’ve realised that along the way I’ve come to appreciate the Greek language in its own right, which almost certainly wouldn’t have happened without such a stellar teacher. To anyone looking for a Greek teacher, you won’t find anyone better.

I've studied Welsh and German online, with many different teachers. I have also been involved in professional evaluation of specialist English teachers. After half a dozen plus Greek lesson with Panos, I have no hesitation in saying that he is right at the top of the game. His lessons are well prepared, structured yet flexible, and geared towards the individual's needs. In each lesson there are plenty of opportunities for review and reinforcement of key points, all done with patience and good humour. In addition, he uses Quizlet to encourage further independent reinforcement of key points. He's great!

Panos is an awesome teacher. At each lesson he provides short Greek stories. I learn vocabulary and then try to translate English sentences related to the story into Greek. He uses a shared spreadsheet that I can study. He is so patient and encouraging. Panos has a great sense of. humor. I give him the highest recommendation,
