Hallo! I’m Roos, a native Dutch speaker from the Netherlands, now living in Latvia. I know what it’s like to learn a new language and adapt to a different culture, and I love helping others do the same.
I teach beginner and intermediate students with a patient, positive, and personalized approach. I’m a natural conversation maker and create a space where you feel comfortable speaking and growing.
In our first lesson, we’ll discuss your goals and learning style so I can tailor each class to you. My lessons are structured but flexible, using a mix of materials to keep learning engaging, practical, and fun. I also bring creativity into lessons through topics like culture, music, and daily life.
My specialty is teaching beginner and intermediate Dutch students. I have a playful and positive approach. I’m a natural conversation maker and a patient, organized teacher with an eye and ear for detail.
I believe in a personalized approach, tailoring my lessons to the individual needs and goals of my students. Whether you want to learn Dutch for work, study, or just for fun, I am here to help you in a way that suits you best.

I really love my lessons with Roos! I am usually very anxious when it comes to speaking in Dutch, because I am a perfectionist and I don’t want to make mistakes, but Roos makes me feel at ease and really comfortable to talk. What I appreciate a lot is that she can have conversations about all kinds of subjects and this makes every lesson interesting and a great opportunity to expand your vocabulary. I recommend booking a lesson with her!

Roos is a great teacher. She was well prepared with a plan and had material in place to start the lesson. She spoke slowly and explained everything throughout the lesson. She challenges you while building your confidence to speak a new language. She provides you with the tools required to improve. Tot de volgende keer!
