I just wrapped up my final session with Namhee. We focused on asking directions and I feel so much more confident navigating Korea soon. Namhee's patient and fun approach made learning Korean very enjoyable and I highly recommend her to anyone looking to learn Korean.

Today's session was all about counters or counting words. Korean has two number systems, pure Korean and Sino-Korean and knowing when to use which one with the right counter can get confusing fast. But Namhee broke down the rules step by step and gave me plenty of examples that were directly related to my learning goal: traveling to Korea. I left today’s session feeling more confident and motivated!

We started today's lesson by going over my homework and she cleared up some funny double-meaning words which definitely things that could trip up foreigners traveling to Korea. It made me realize how useful it is to learn the language for a better travel experience. We also dove into Korean numbers, which was a lot to take in, but Namhee made it easy to follow and enjoyable.

Today’s session focused on adjectives related to emotions and I was fascinated to learn that in Korean, adjectives are conjugated like verbs. We then created example sentences together, which really helped me understand the material. Thanks to Namhee, I’m now able to form simple sentences in Korean and very excited about it.

In today's session, we focused on Korean numbers, covering everything from 1 to 10,000. Although I wasn’t able to practice the Sino-Korean numbers during the week, Namhee was very understanding and we did a quick review to help me catch up. We also discussed Korean bank notes, which was very relevant for my upcoming trip.

We began today’s lesson with a conversation about visas and useful vocabulary and conjugations related to traveling. After that, we moved on to discussing the different ways to pronounce the possessive particle in Korean. I’m starting to realize that Korean is more complicated than I originally thought, especially with all the grammar and pronunciation rules. But learning it with Namhee keeps things fun and engaging, even when the language gets tricky.
