Sara

I look forward to my lesson with Sara, it is the highlight of my day! I am learning Italian with her, and it has been a joy. I wish high school language classes were this involved. Every lesson she starts out by opening the floor to discuss anything you want, in the language you are learning. It gives me the opportunity to try and say new words and new sentences. About my weekend, what I have going on later in the week, or just general small talk. Then she gives the chance to ask questions from last weeks lesson and homework. Then she gets into the lesson and grammar. It is always very conversational but she does challenge me. I really like working out of her recommended text book, i honestly look forward to the homework she assigns. Sara speaks many languages, she clearly is a gifted linguist. She teaches as well as she speaks! I wish I would have skipped over a year of Duolingo and joined her lessons sooner!

I been having lessons from Sara, for 7 +/- weeks now and finally starting to learn Italian, after 14 months of trying to learn on my own. My Italian reading has gotten much better, I'm starting to form basic sentences now, it's great seeing progress.

Sara has the patience of a saint

Sara is an incredible tutor and has been wonderful to work with for over a year! My spouse and I started Italian with Sara last spring to prepare for a trip to Europe and continued lessons until this last December. Through all these lessons, she provided great care, patience, and understanding in our learning. She provided resources and useful dialogue practice sessions to help us grasp interactions and situations. This year, we decided to start learning Japanese because Sara speaks this very well (and studied it in Japan!). She was very gracious to help us on our Japanese journey and the plan is to spend this entire year learning the language like we did with Italian last year! Sara is a great teacher and is open to feedback if something is not working or if you have a crazy time of life and need to take a small break. I would highly recommend Sara for your language journey whether it be Italian, Japanese, or some other language she knows!

This lesson Sara asked me to speak the whole time. She had random topics for me to discuss. It was difficult but engaging, she is supportive but always lets you struggle on your own. It was a good challenge!
