François Calvo

Today was my first lesson with François. It was FUN. I liked that he was VERY attentive when we first began talking (as he was listening to find out my interests and goals, and how best to proceed). We talked entirely in French for most of the lesson — and then at my request (because I am also studying Portuguese) — We talked in Portuguese at the end. It's fun to talk with him — as he is VERY encouraging and asks interesting questions that make the student strive to express him/herself. I look forward to more lessons with François! — :)

He is the best!! I really appreciate our conversation, and he makes me feel understood. I would DEFINITELY recommend the experience!

Really enjoyed my intro class with François. he challenged me with difficult questions off the bat that really made me think and use words I haven’t used in a while, and that’s exactly what I’m looking for. I would definitely book with him to help maintain my French level.

I highly recommend taking classes with François. Today we discussed some very complex topics and I was able to practice words and phrases I hadn't been able to use prior. I would classify François as a fantastic conversationalist and professional teacher. Just from the couple of classes I have taken, he has demonstrated great ability to correct, guide, and redirect without negatively impacting the speaking flow.
