I am Walaa Othman from Cairo, Egypt. I've studied Arabic <> English Interpretation and Translation.
Teaching has always been my passion. I've started coaching Public Speaking and soft skills years ago, then shifted to teaching Egyptian Arabic and English as second languages 7 years ago. I am a huge fan of reading about different cultures and traditions. I also love writing and drawing, and most importantly, I love challenges. This is why my main technique to learn my target language (Persian), is to challenge myself and follow through a study plan.
I have been teaching both Egyptian Arabic and English online for 7 years. I've taught people from different countries; from The U.S, Canada, Afghanistan, Iran, Indonesia, Poland, Brazil, China, Japan, Uzbekistan and many others.
My teaching philosophy is to work on both the linguistic and psychological barriers of language learning through fun audio-visual materials.
Since languages are my passion, I am also currently learning Persian on Italki. This language-learning experience makes me relate to all the challenges my students face because I pre-face them and come up with customized challenges and techniques for students to overcome them.
Our class is usually divided into 3 parts, a part for listening, another for speaking, and another for reading+ grammar.

Excellent lesson ^^ She is fun and easy to chat with and helpful in getting me to understand the differences in Egyptian dialect. She is also patient with my odd mixture of Arabic dialects and very slow slow speaking ^^ All around a good lesson, recommend and will book again.

I took a second lesson with Walla to prepare for my Toastmasters contest competition. She gave incredible feedback and helped me enhance my speech. Not only that, but the session exceeded 40 minutes, and she didn’t leave until she made sure I was fully ready. Thanks Walla
