My name is Angelo and I teach Dutch on Italki.
Since I grew up in the Netherlands, I am a native Dutch speaker, but I am actually half indonesian although I don't speak bahasa indonesia.
I love learning languages as well as teaching others. Recently I have been working on my Japanese, and I'm 'learning' Thai by taking listening classes ONLY.
I want to reach 800 hours and see how much I can learn by JUST listening.
Besides that, I do breakdance in my free time and sometimes play games with my friends. Although I consider myself to be an introvert at times, I like to meet new people from different cultures! I am very open-minded and patient which I think is important when teaching!Ik als leerkracht
In the past, I have helped people who didn't speak any Dutch at all with the basics but also Dutch people.
Usually I would help them with written langauge, because they would need someone to go over a text and check for any mistakes.
I love it when people want to speak Dutch to me and therefore I am very patient. As a matter of fact, I usually prefer listening in general when it comes to speaking.
Although I like grammar, I'm NOT a teacher so I won't be able to answer all grammar related questions / provide a curriculum. I believe that any language can be acquired without necessarily having to teach first. The way I see it, grammar just will help you understand the language better.Mijn lessen en manier van lesgeven
I offer 3 types of lessons:
- I like meeting other people and exploring different cultures/topics, so if you just want to improve your speaking skills, we can have a nice conversation about any topic! If you want, I can give you feedback as well.
- If you need help with texts, essays, reading or writing then I can help you with that as well. In this class we can go over any material that you need help with and I can give you feedback or correct mistakes.
- If you have your own method/material to study with, then I can help you as a tutor as well. I can go over the material with you and assist you where you need it.5.0
