My name is Pius Ntinya, i'm a professional teacher from Tanzania. I have been a teacher for more than fifteen years in schools teaching English, Swahili and French in primary, secondary and high schools. I also have three years experience in online teaching. I can speak Swahili, English and French. I have worked as Education Coordinator in Burundian refugee camp called Nyarugusu found in Kigoma region in Tanzania. I'm a professional translator & interpreter. i'm trained on Early Childhood Care & Development(ECCD). i'm also an author of academic & language e-books especially that of Swahili. I'm experienced tutor, i have taught in schools for more than fifteen years and online for three years. I'am also highly skilled in language teaching approaches, techniques, strategies and methods. I teach all kinds of learners from beginners, intermediate and advanced level. I also teach Swahili for those who want to learn for traveling or vacation. I always ask learners to explain what outcome they would need to attain, so I use simple notes, audios, short stories, simple grammar, audio visuals, you tube etc. I help learners practice speaking the targeted language. We had some very interesting discussions today about Thanksgiving, differences in family culture between Tanzania and America, private vs public schools, and the conflict between America and Venezuela. It's always a joy to converse with Mwalimu Pius.

Had a very interesting conversation with Mwalimu Pius today. We focused on the history of the Swahili language, which was quite fascinating. This led to numerous side conversations about culture and historical events. Mwalimu Pius is a great storyteller and lover of history.

Had a great lesson with Mwalimu Pius today. After catching up on the current events, I did my best to summarize an article about an infamous conman from the 1930's. Mwalimu helped me with a number of new words and asked follow-up questions. It was a very good lesson.

Had a great lesson with Mwalimu Pius today. We talked about the Tanzanian elections, election of Mamdani in New York and many other things. It was a very enlightening lesson. Looking forward to next week's lesson.

We had a very interesting lesson today about the history of Portugal and its role in Africa. We focused on factors leading to the decline of Portugal's power. Mwalimu also provided some sets of related words that were very similar to each other. It was a good exercise in differentiating similar words.
