Beatriz Mendonça

Beatriz is a really well rounded teacher, she is always well prepared and does a great job of mixing conversation with grammar. I asked to work on the subjunctive and she masterfully used our conversation as we started the class for an introduction to her prepared materials and even prepared exercises and a song to show the subjunctive in action. I had absolutely no doubts afterwards, I highly recommend her she is a truly talented teacher. muito obrigado

I loved my lesson with Beatriz! I only had a few lessons before her’s and felt that she did an amazing job making sure I understand. I loved that she speaks mostly Portuguese because I think it allows me to try to use context clues to understand what she means. As a result, I learn more! Definitely recommend!

I originally planned just to have a few extra lessons with Beatriz, but in the end I’ve had many more, because I enjoyed seeing her so much every week! Beatriz is so easy to talk to, relaxed, patient and helpful. It was hard to say goodbye but finally I’m moving on. I thoroughly recommend Beatriz as a teacher! My first class with Beatriz was great. It went by too fast! I am shy and she made me feel comfortable to talk and that it’s ok to make mistakes. Excited for my next lesson with her.
