We had a lovely time talking about calligraphy and I learned a lot of vocabulary related to that! Also some grammar that happened to come up. I really appreciate that Aki-san takes time after the lesson to write out sample sentences using that vocabulary and grammar that I can use to review!

I am really impressed with how intuitive Aki-san is- she always picks up on the things that I'm struggling with, even if I don't realize what they are. Then she knows exactly what to do to help me improve. Additionally, she does all this while still having a fun and engaging conversation! ありがとうございました!また次のレッスンを楽しみにしています!

Really fun lesson with Aki chatting about a new Japanese book I bought, how reading comics in other languages is such a fun way to build vocabulary, the stationery items we can find hard to, and how we learned different characters in school. It was such a fun, interesting, and enjoyable lesson with lots of great conversation and fun and interesting insights!

I think I talked a lot today! 話しすぎました!I had a wonderful time talking about my Japan trip and also about how much Aki's conversation lessons help me to understand and speak more and more Japanese. And also to have the confidence to just speak it everywhere in hotels, the post office or just standing in line. Whenever someone can't speak English I can speak enough Japanese to get by and have lots of fun traveling Japan.

Really fun lesson with Aki talking about the importance of stretching tight hip flexors and calves, what Brooklyn is like, and how learning other languages and cultures can help us become more open-minded and empathetic. It was such an enjoyable conversation with helpful notes and new vocabulary for the two of us!

A very fun lesson with Aki talking about different types of gardens, how the US doesn’t have a specific style and usually only has manicured lawns, the hard work it takes to garden, the costly price of Bonsai plants, and weird funeral rituals people have for pets and plants. Such a fun and interesting lesson with helpful notes and a lot of laughs!
