When a student tells me about an aspect of their culture, which would shock most Americans, I can appreciate the practice and begin to understand the deeper meaning behind it. I also can understand how some aspects of American culture may be shocking to the student as well. My experience with the United States Special Forces has helped me understand the benefits of a cultural exchange.

Freelance WriterMy experience as a Freelance Writer for an Indian-American publication broadened my understanding of Asia. It also taught me more about the challenges of adjusting to a new culture, or country. It showed me how passionate people are about their roots no matter what country they plan to move to. I hope I can cultivate that in my students who are passionate and take pride in the culture they grew up with. I was able to hone my skills as a writer and to invoke feelings in whoever reads my articles.

ESL InstructorMy experience with LingoForMe was demanding, but instilled a great work ethic in me. I was able to work 12 hours a day with no problem. I became skilled with using platforms such as Skype, and Zoom and I taught primarily structured lessons. I gave extensive feedback after every class, and kept a 5-star rating during my whole time there.
