Registered Japanese Language Teacher（登録日本語教師） Hello. My name is Chieko. I am Japanese. I live in Kyoto prefecture, near Nara in Japan. I am a registered Japanese teacher. I can speak English and German moderately if you like. I lived in Scotland for a half year and in Germany for more than 10 years. In Germany I started learning German from scratch. Therefore I know it’s very hard for adults to learn a new language. although it’s also fun at the same time. My hobby is traveling, reading books, watching movies, Netflix, baking cakes, Haiku, painting and so on. I like to talk with people. I am a certified Japanese teacher. I passed the Teaching Competency after completing all the required training course of 420 hours. I have a master degree in Intercultural studies. I'm a friendly and patient teacher. 日本語教育能力試験に合格し, 420時間の日本語教師養成講座も終了しています。 「国際文化学」を大学院の修士課程で勉強しました。高校の教員免許も持っています。 Each student has their own goal. I will personalize my classes for each. I can offer conversational, pronunciation, grammar, vocabulary and writing classes, as what you need. At the free conversation, I would like to talk with you about your friends, family, school, town, food, culture, seasons and weather, and so on. At the lessons, the direct method is generally used, but English and German explanation can be made for beginners. Chieko-san was very patient with me as we adjusted through conversation. we spoke about different things to get a feel for my opportunities and what to work on/do a run through of my conversational skills. she gave me feedback as we spoke and would write down how to say something correctly. She was very friendly and nice - would recommend for a nervous student who doesn't feel confident in their own knowledge.
