Kariya Sensei is very kind and patient. I appreciate how she is able to nitpick all of my mistakes in Japanese in a way that is not discouraging and give good explanations to help adjust them. I highly recommend Kariya Sensei, especially for Japanese learners outside of Japan.先生、ありがとうございました！

Rena san is super patient and knowledgable! She is able to translate my thoughts very well and doesn't ever rush me when I'm thinking about what to say or recalling my thoughts. She is super helpful with her notes and is very easy to talk to. I'm now able to hold a conversation with her and it feels so rewarding. I'd definitely recommend her for lessons as she is an amazing teacher!

My lesson with Rena was incredible! Within the lesson, we explored a series of new tense forms for speech, in addition to learning methods to apply my current 'textbook' speech in a more conversational and casual form. Rena explained ideas that were quite difficult in a manner that was thoroughly simplified; easy to understand and digest! With other teachers that I have experienced, I have found their speech and explanations to be relatively confusing, which made it much harder to enjoy this process of learning. I am extremely excited to have found her as a teacher, and I look forward to having many other lessons within future.

Rena sensei has been helping me with lots of a vocabulary and grammar. My Japanese skills are increasing with every lesson, and it's a really rewarding experience. She is incredibly patient and kind. At the beginning we worked through my broken Japanese and was great at explaining all the nuances of Japanese and what corrections were needed to improve. I'm now getting a bit more consistent with my language flow and the speaking is coming a little more naturally with every lesson!
