Language learner and patient tutor I am very patient and understand the struggles of learning a new language as I have spent a couple years on italki as a student myself and continue taking lessons regularly. As a teacher I try to do the things that I have found most useful as a learner. We can speak about what interests you, read texts together or watch videos online and then talk about those. I do want to help you with whatever you need, so we will start by speaking about your goals and expectations regarding the lessons. I do not believe in studying grammar charts or vocabulary lists, but I do believe in improving those areas by gaining a natural understanding of how a language works through listening, reading an speaking.

I have done a lot of language and linguistics related things at university, and I have worked part-time as a language teacher and tutor since the age of 16, gradually moving into more challenging positions, like teaching German to immigrants and business people, and tutoring university students in Latin and Ancient Greek.
