My first students were beginners without knowing even the Korean alphabet. Most of all they were busy and could spend only one hour a week. After 4 times they could read and talk in Korean. On returning to Korea, I started to teach Korean at Yongsan Library. During my doctoral course, I taught a graduate student preparing TOPIK. She achieved a high score. You can finish learning Hangeul in about 5 classes (2 weeks). 2. Beginner (A1-A2) - Usually consistent students (2 times a week) get to A2 level when they finish 20 classes with me. Which is about 3 months. This level, you can speak present/past/future tense naturally and we can communicate with easy expressions. 3. Intermediate (B1-B2): Now it's time to focus on Sino-Korean words. We will try to expand our expressions - use different speaking grammars that have the same meaning and get the intention of speaking. You will be trained to distinguish which expressions are more appropriate by the situation.
