I see the language learning process as a marvelous journey in which you get this rare chance to live the lives of people of that language to some extents. I've been (& am!) through this journey a few times myself, and think I'm well aware of the ups and downs of it and that with a little bit of try and creativity, it always leads us to wonderful places. That's why I try hard not to make my students just memorize the complex structures but to teach them grasp the atmosphere in which these structures have been formed during ages, and I believe this approach makes learning a lot easier, sweeter and possibly faster.
