I taught in Sri Lankan government schools from grade one to thirteen and have received awards for teaching English. Also, I used to teach English Medium Mathematics from grade six to eleven. In the USA, I worked in a community college as an adjunct professor as well as a clinical instructor of Respiratory Therapy. I love to teach because teaching makes me happy and alive and the satisfaction you receive when I see the progress of my students is priceless.

I've been teaching Sinhala as a foreign language since 2018, started teaching Sinhala on italki in 2021, and currently I'm also teaching Sinhala (as a foreign language) at an online language academy with my own syllabus and now I'm a full time Sinhala as a foreign language teacher. I have finished 2 basic linguistics courses and I have the basic understanding of 7+ languages.
