Certified CELTA teacher with over 10 years of teaching experience. I graduated from university in Chile, where I studied to become a teacher of English. While still a student I won a scholarship to live in England and work as a Spanish tutor in a language school, so that experience really helped me become more fluent and relaxed about my use of English. I discovered that the most important thing when learning a language isn't to speak perfectly or with a specific accent, but to actually be able to communicate with other people and be understood, that's when learning really becomes motivating. In 2017 I took the CELTA course which gave me a different perspective on how to teach using ONLY English, something I thought almost impossible.

I love connecting with my students, helping them with the etymology of new words, with the wonderful world of Spanish verb tenses or with pronunciation. After 6 years of teaching all kinds of students and in different contexts I thought it was time to specialize. So I started to dedicate myself to the more advanced levels C1-C2 as I am a certified DELE examiner for those levels. I also have a Master's Degree in Teaching Spanish as a Foreign Language, but what I am really proud of is the opinion of the students I work with. I love helping others, and learning French too Since 2015 I have taught full time to students from 13 to 65 years of age, from basic academic skills to advanced business levels (for companies like Amazon, LinkedIn, Burger King and Walmart), and to people from all continents; always adapting to their needs. I got my certification as a foreign language teacher from the National Autonomous University of Mexico in 2019. I can switch from English to Spanish or vice versa if needed (but I generally prefer only to speak in the language I teach), and I can also support with different accents, formal expressions or slang. I have helped others presenting international certifications such as the IELTS, TOEFL and USA and Mexico citizenship.
