I am a Spanish retired who wants to teach my mother tongue to others and meet new people. I would love to share my knowledge of Spanish with whoever wants to learn it.

Now, I also have a Master degree in Japanese Studies. My speciality is poswar literature. In my University I made professional practices in CEPE (Spanish for Foreigners Center) and I wrote my final essay about teaching Spanish to japanese students. For 2 years I taught Spanish to foreigners in a school in Mexico City. And now, I've been teaching on Italki for three years.

This experience led me to meet people with acceptance and patience, understanding that each one of us has their own personal journey, and that wherever we are, we can work together to remove blockages (such as with learning new subjects) and find balance, reaching whatever set goal at a comfortable pace.

I've taught both Spanish and English in Mexico (mostly to teenagers/young adults), always trying make my students feel comfortable so that they speak from day one. Creating an engaging lesson based on real material is key too, I believe this helps with motivation for learning, enjoyment of the class and retention.
