Here is the plan I usually follow for a 30-minute trial lesson:
(1) we introduce each other
(2) I will ask some questions in French to give you an opportunity to speak so I can assess your language level
(3) depending on your learning goals, we will do either a speaking or reading exercise
(4) we will discuss the way you want to learn, my suggestions, and homework
(5) if time allows, we can also play a short game

Mostly, this is to allow you to see if we "click" and if you think we can work together, as well as for me to assess your language level. 

Note 1 - For A1/A2 students, I usually use both French and English if your English is at a higher level than your French to allow for better comprehension. For B1 and above, I speak mostly French unless absolutely needed. 

Note 2 - I do not currently teach children, only adults and teenagers.

During this lesson, you will practice your French speaking skills through topic-based conversation lessons. Images, comics and vocabulary will be used to support the conversation and help you use the language. If there is a particular topic you want to discuss, we can do that, or I will pick from one of my topics. 
A level of around A2 is recommended in order to be able to communicate. 
Notes with personal feedback and materials will be provided after the lesson.

Each lesson focuses on: 
- discussing a new theme or real-life topic
- expanding your vocabulary and expressions
- improving fluency, confidence and accuracy

Topic-Based Conversation (A2-C2)

STRUCTURED LANGUAGE LEARNING

Learn French in a clear, structured, step-by-step way. These lessons are designed for A1 to C2 learners and focus on :
- grammar, vocabulary and pronunciation
- building strong fundations and measurable progress
- personalised guidance adapted to your level and goals

These lessons are based on my own curriculum following CEFR guidelines, ensuring clear progression and level-appropriate content. 
This structured systematic approach is ideal for students who want real progress and measurable outcomes, rather than casual conversation. I do not use a textbook; instead, I use a variety of materials to make lessons engaging, practical, and tailored to your level.

While I can help with vocabulary, grammar, and skills needed for the DELF and DALF exams, I do not provide exam-specific training.

After each lesson, I send class notes and all materials used, so you can review and practise. Homework is optional but recommended if you have time.

This is a trial lesson for new students. I recommend booking 30 minutes although 1 hour is also available.

Trial Lesson ( A1-C1) - 30 minutes

These lessons focus on writing practice and the improvement of writing skills using a variety of exercises. 
It is recommended that you also do writing homework to practise writing longer texts, which we will correct together in class.
