Because of these experiences, I assumed that teaching Korean would be easy for me. However, the reality was different from my imagination. Since I had never been a beginner in the Korean language, it was very hard for me to relate to the students. In the beginning, I had a hard time understanding how non-Koreans process Korean in their brain as a language. So, I had to put a lot of effort to see Korean sentences from the student’s perspective.
