I began teaching Portuguese as a foreign language in 2008 and have over a decade of experience teaching English to children, teenagers, and adults — both online and in person. Over the past 10 years, I have taught both group and private classes. I spent 5 years working at a bilingual school, where I taught young children, and also worked for 2 years at a language school, teaching teenagers and adults. Currently, I teach Portuguese and English to adults online, focusing on personalized and goal-oriented learning.

Lecionei PLE em duas universidades em Portugal: universidade de Aveiro e Faculdade de Letras de Coimbra. Atualmente, estou a frequentar o doutoramento em Educação - didática das línguas na Universidade de Aveiro e a dar aulas em Goa novamente. Para além das aulas, também estou estou a fazer a minha recolha de dados em Goa sobre as Paisagens Linguísticas e Culturais.

I also worked for the MimicMethod for a few years, where I was the Head of French Instruction and helped give specific pronunciation feedback to students. Later on, I also took lessons with a cinema accent coach and got acquainted with a more theatrical approach, which helped me be more versatile in my feedback. When I see one type of feedback doesn't work, I try another one. Each student reacts differently to different verbal cues, so I think it's important I can bring these different approaches to them, whenever needed :)
