A Personal Mission Statement is a concise (usually 1-3 sentences) summary of your core values, aspirations, and the impact you want to make in life. It's your personal guiding principle, a compass that helps you navigate decisions and goals. Unlike a resume objective statement focusing on a specific job, a Personal Mission Statement is broader, encompassing your entire life journey.

Here's what a Personal Mission Statement typically captures:

Values: What principles are most important to you? (e.g., honesty, creativity, helping others)
Goals: What do you want to achieve in life? (e.g., build a strong family, make a positive difference in the world, achieve financial security)
Impact: How do you want to be remembered? What legacy do you want to leave behind?
Crafting a Personal Mission Statement is a self-discovery process. Reflect on what motivates you, what brings you joy, and the kind of person you want to be. Here are some prompts to get you started:

What are my strengths and passions?
What kind of world do I want to contribute to?
What impact do I want to have on the lives of others?
Remember, a Personal Mission Statement is a living document. It can evolve as you grow and your priorities shift. Reviewing it regularly can help you stay focused and make choices aligned with your true north.

Here's an example of a Personal Mission Statement:

To use my creativity and passion for science to develop innovative solutions that address environmental challenges, leaving a sustainable future for generations to come. 
This statement highlights the core value of environmental responsibility, the goal of innovation, and the desired impact of a sustainable future.
