Malayalam is not a well-served language for learner dictionaries — there is nothing comparable to what exists for French or Spanish. Cross-check; never rely on one source. And know the specific weakness: a dictionary gives you a word, and the word is rarely your problem. Your problem is which of four near-synonyms fits this register. A dictionary will tell you that both വീട് and ഗൃഹം mean house. It will not tell you that saying ഗൃഹം in conversation makes you sound like a court summons. AI, precisely.
