In a perfect world, interviewers would give you feedback on the spot and contact you after your interview with their decision and advice. Unfortunately, this is not likely to happen, so it’s up to you to ask for feedback. In this episode, you’ll learn how to ask for feedback in an interview tactfully and effectively. 

People often don't ask for feedback in an interview for many reasons. Perhaps they don't know they can ask for it. Maybe they assume they won't get an honest answer. Or, a candidate might fear it is inappropriate to ask for feedback in an interview. 

Asking for feedback in an interview is not only appropriate, but it is also an excellent growth opportunity and presents a chance to clarify misunderstandings and land a job. 

While we all know that the best talkers do not always make the best employees, organizational psychologist Adam Grant points out, “Job interviews favor candidates who are the best talkers.” So, in this episode, you'll get a list of 11 common communication mistakes in an interview that you can share with your mock interviewer. You'll also get four suggestions on how you can ask for feedback in an interview.

ESTE CUENTO NOS HABLA DE: La Casa Susurrante.


Thomas, atraído por la misteriosa aura de una antigua mansión, decidió alquilarla. Desde el primer momento, sintió una presencia intangible que parecía acecharlo en las sombras. Los crujidos de la madera, los ecos de pasos inexistentes y la sensación constante de ser observado lo mantenían en vilo.

Una noche, mientras exploraba las profundidades de la casa, se topó con un retrato polvoriento en una habitación oculta. La mujer de la pintura tenía una mirada tan intensa que parecía perforar su alma. Al acercarse, sintió un escalofrío que le recorrió la espalda. De repente, los ojos de la mujer brillaron con una luz fantasmal y una voz susurró en su oído: "Este lugar te pertenece... a ti y a mí".

Aterrorizado, Thomas intentó escapar, pero las puertas se cerraron de golpe a su alrededor. La casa parecía haberse convertido en una trampa mortal. Con el corazón palpitando en su pecho, se refugió en una esquina, esperando que la pesadilla terminara. Al amanecer, logró escapar por una ventana, dejando atrás la mansión y la mujer de la pintura, pero la experiencia lo marcó para siempre. La casa susurrante se convirtió en una pesadilla que lo perseguía en sus sueños.
