“I’d really like to participate in a drawing contest, which is organised by my university every year, and the first three prize winners actually go forward to a national drawing contest. I wasn’t so into drawing over the years, but I found that during all the covid lockdowns that it was a great way to pass the time, and really helped me from going stir crazy stuck at home every day during the numerous lockdowns we had.

 

I recently showed some of my friends a few of my sketches, which are mostly landscapes, and they were very complimentary, and suggested that I enter a competition, which gave me a boost of confidence. 

I imagine that the  competition would be pretty stiff for this contest, but i feel confident that i’ve really developed my skills enough over the past year or so, and with my friends and families encouragement have been able to get the nerve up to show off my drawing skills in public.

 

I guess the main reason i’d like to take part in this contest is that i’ve really grown to love drawing, and feel it would actually be a lot of fun to enter, as well as giving me a new challenge which i think i’m now ready for. Another reason is of course the chance of winning a nice prize, and maybe even having my drawing going forward to the national contest, which would really be amazing.

こんにちは。お話している今日（きょう）、日本では映画（えいが）「シン・ウルトラマン」が公開（こうかい）されました。"公開"とは「みんなにオープンにすること」、映画の場合（ばあい）は今日から映画館（えいがかん）で、上映（じょうえい）が始まったことを意味（いみ）します。

2016年に、「シン・ゴジラ」という映画が日本で公開されています。見たことがありますか？どうしてどちらの映画にも、「シン」という言葉（ことば）が付いているのでしょう。

「シン」とカタカナで書いていますが、漢字（かんじ）で書けば「新」、「新しい」という意味になります。「新しいゴジラの映画」、「新しいウルトラマンの映画」という意味ですね。

しかし「真」、「まことの、本当（ほんとう）の、本物（ほんもの）の」という意味の漢字で書くこともできます。「これが、本物のウルトラマンの映画だ！」という意味にもなります。

また「神」、「神（かみ）、神様（かみさま）」を意味する漢字で書くこともできます。「神様のように凄い（すごい）ゴジラだ、ウルトラマンだ！」という意味にもなります。

このようにカタカナで書いた「シン」から、日本人は漢字で書いた場合（ばあい）の、色々（いろいろ）な「シン」を想像して、様々（さまざま）なイメージを持つことができるのです。

日本語で何かを書く場合（ばあい）、ある意味を与える（あたえる）ためにカタカナで書いたり、漢字で書いたりする場合があります。面白い（おもしろい）ですね。

興味（きょうみ）ある映画や怪獣（かいじゅう）、ヒーローを通じて（つうじて）日本語を勉強（べんきょう）しませんか。それでは、さようなら。

今日の天気は雨。昼まではくもっていましたが、今は雨がふっています。気温は19℃なので、少し寒いですね。


さて、今日は、わかれのあいさつについて。
どの国でも、出会った時と、別れる時には必ずあいさつをしますね。

ともだちと別れる時や、職場から帰る時など、どういうか知っていますか？どう言っていますか？
その話をしましょう！

一般的には、
・失礼(しつれい)します。
・おつかれさまです。/おつかれさまでした。
・おつかれさまです、失礼します。
が1番良く使います。

ともだちと別れる時や、夜ご飯を食べた帰りなどでは、
・じゃあ、またね
・おやすみ/おやすみなさい
・では！
・じゃ！
・また！
と言うことがおおいです。

関西弁(かんさいべん)だと、
・ほな！
・ほんなら！
と言う人がおおいかもしれません。
これは、それでは、が転じてほんなら→ほなら→ほな、となっているようです。

ともだちと別れる時には、また！で終わることが多いですが、また！会おうね、の意味が含まれていますね。日本人はすべてを伝える文化ではないので、また！(会おうね)で終わっているような気がします。直接的に伝えるのは恥ずかしいのかもしれません。

個人的には、オンラインレッスンをしている時、話しているみなさんは、感謝の言葉や、ほめることをすべて伝えてくれます。それはとてもうれしいことです。

日本人どうしも、もう少し恥ずかしがらずに、感謝の気持ちや、相手の良いところを伝えるようになった方がいいと思います。
