Idioms are words or phrases that aren’t meant to be taken literally and usually have a cultural meaning behind them. 大阪から北海道に帰ってきましたー。

大阪と北海道では10℃ぐらい、気温が違いますね。
今日の朝の最低気温は-2℃！でした！
寒かったですーー。

さて、今日は前回の続きですね。
奈良の東大寺に行きました！という話です。

奈良には世界遺産に登録されている建物が多いです。
その中の1つが東大寺です。大仏が有名です。
日本ではよく奈良の大仏と呼ばれますが、正しくは、
盧舎那大仏るしゃなだいぶつ
という名前の大仏です。

743年に始まり、749年、6年かけて建てられた、ということですから、今から1200年以上も前のことですね。
地震や戦により、何度か修復をして、今に至ります。

建物も何度も改修されて、今の形になっています。
昔はもっと大きかったみたいです。


日本に来る予定の人もいると思います。
奈良に行ったことがない！
という方は、ぜひ行ってみてください。
1200年前の日本を感じることができますよ。
