Tous les animaux de la forêt ont l'habitude de se réunir pour fêter les rois. Cette année, c'est Kipic, le hérisson, qui achète la galette.
De sa vie, Kipic n'a jamais eu la fève. Alors il s'est arrangé avec le pâtissier qui en a placé vingt-cinq dans la galette. Le hérisson est certain, cette fois-ci, d'être le roi.
Le sanglier a fait les parts. Le lièvre était caché sous la table. Eh bien, c'est à peine croyable : la chèvre a eu cinq fèves, le lièvre trois, le sanglier six, le cerf quatre, l'ours deux, la souris cinq et Kipic... rien du tout. Quelle malchance !

El Gato y el Ratón

Había una vez un gato llamado Tomás. Tomás era un gato grande y perezoso que vivía en una casa cómoda. Le gustaba dormir todo el día y solo se despertaba para comer.

Un día, mientras Tomás dormía en su cama suave, un ratón pequeño llamado Miguel salió de su agujero en la pared. Miguel tenía hambre y buscaba comida. Vio un pedazo de queso en la cocina y decidió ir a buscarlo.

Miguel caminó lentamente hacia la cocina, asegurándose de que Tomás no lo viera. Cuando llegó al queso, lo tomó y comenzó a correr de regreso a su agujero. Pero Tomás, con su oído agudo, escuchó el ruido y despertó.

El gato vio al ratón corriendo con el queso y decidió perseguirlo. Tomás corrió detrás de Miguel, pero como era un gato perezoso, no era muy rápido. Miguel, por otro lado, era pequeño y ágil. Corrió lo más rápido que pudo y logró llegar a su agujero justo a tiempo.

Tomás se detuvo frente al agujero, mirando a Miguel con frustración. El ratón sonrió y dijo:

—Lo siento, Tomás. Este queso es mío ahora.

Tomás suspiró y volvió a su cama. Aprendió que, a veces, ser perezoso no te lleva a ningún lado. Miguel disfrutó su queso en su agujero, sabiendo que había ganado una pequeña victoria ese día.

Y así, el gato y el ratón vivieron sus días, aprendiendo uno del otro y compartiendo pequeñas aventuras.

It might sound like the worst start to your day — you get into the shower, and it's ice cold. But while you might not enjoy it, a cold shower could actually be good for your health.

Spending time in cold water is not a new idea — the Ancient Greeks used cold water as a form of therapy as early as 3,500 BC. And things like cold water swims and ice baths have become quite popular around the world.

Experts believe there are a few reasons cold showers could be good for us.

Corey Simon, a doctor at Duke School of Medicine in the US, told CNN that having one or two cold showers a week helps him be more mentally present.

He believes the reason for this is that he has to mentally prepare himself for something stressful: the cold water. But once he's in it, he feels like he's in control of that stressor.

In fact, a 2022 study found that participants who showered for a minute in 10- to 14-degree water every day for two weeks had lower stress levels than a control group.

Cold showers could also be good for our immune system. In a study done in the Netherlands in 2016, people who spent 30 to 90 seconds in a cold shower took 29% fewer sick days from work.

Cold water has also been found to improve circulation, and can reduce muscle pain after a workout. Research suggests that taking a cold shower often could increase your metabolism too.

But experts say it's important to speak to your doctor before taking cold showers often, because it could be dangerous — especially for those with certain conditions, like heart or circulatory problems.
