We also explore the origin of characters like "tǔ (land)", "shè (society)", "zuò (sit)", "xiǎo (small)" and "shǎo (few)", and share the ancient farming culture hidden in the classic Chinese saying "No pains, no gains". It's a perfect episode for Chinese learners to understand how ancient Chinese built their whole character system from a simple drawing of clouds.

耘	yún	Cultivate	云 + 古代农具 “耒”，代表在田里分层翻土，就是 “耕耘” 的含义
层	céng	Layer	来自云的分层的含义，用来形容分层的事物，比如楼层、千层蛋糕
坛	tán	Jar/Altar	云 + 土，来自云的卷曲的含义，形容卷曲形状的酒坛子
魂	hún	Soul	云 + 鬼，古人认为灵魂像云一样卷曲飘着，所以用云来造这个字
