みなさん、こんにちは！日本語教師のあいこです。
あけましておめでとうございます。今年もよろしくお願いいたします。

今日は、去年、2025年の「今年の漢字」について話したいと思います。
「今年の漢字（Kanji of the Year）」は、その年を表す漢字を一つだけ選ぶイベントです。
毎年12月に「今年はどんな1年でしたか？」という質問に答える形で行われます。

日本に住んでいる人たちが、ニュースや、社会の出来事や、自分の生活や気持ちなどを考えて、一番多く選ばれた漢字が、その年の今年の漢字になります。

去年12月12日、京都の「清水寺」という有名なお寺で、今年の漢字が発表されました。
皆さん、何だと思いますか？
はい、2025年を表す漢字は「熊」でした。
クマというのは動物の名前です。
大きくて黒くて山や森に住んでいる野生の動物の名前です。
英語ではBearですね。

今回は全国から18万9000票の応募があったそうです。
その中で「熊」という漢字が1位に選ばれました。

ちなみに、おととし2024年の漢字は「金」でした。
「金」というのは私たちが毎日使うお金のことを表す漢字です。
お金の種類にはコインや紙のお金がありますね。

「今年の漢字」というイベントは 今年で30回目になるそうです。
つまり30年間続いているイベントだそうです。
この30年間の中で クマという漢字が1位になったのは、今年が初めてです。
ちなみに2位は「米」という漢字でした。
「米」というのは日本で一番よく食べられている主食のことです。
私たちが毎日食べている白いお米のことですね。

1位の漢字「熊」と、2位の漢字「米」の差は、たったの180票だったそうです。

ではなぜ「熊」という漢字が選ばれたのでしょうか。
皆さんは知っていますか？

一番大きな理由は、2025年に日本のいろいろな場所で、熊の出没が続いたことです。
熊による人身被害が増えましたね。
人身被害というのは、人がけがをしたり亡くなったりする被害のことです。
街の中や人が生活している場所でも、熊が見つかりました。
そのため、イベントが中止になったり、学校が休みになったりしましたね。
人々の生活に大きな影響がありました。

この問題を受けて、日本の政府は「熊対策パッケージ」をまとめました。
「熊対策パッケージ」というのは、クマの被害を減らすために、国が決めたいくつかの対策のまとめです。自衛隊が出動することもありましたね。

次に2位になった「米」という漢字についてです。
日本ではお米の値段が高くなっていますね。
国が備蓄していたお米を出したこともありました。
備蓄というのは困った時のために前もって食べ物などを保管しておくことです。
また、この米という漢字は、ニュースではアメリカを意味する言葉として、一文字で使われることもあります。

アメリカではトランプ大統領が就任しました。
また、相互関税の問題で、世界の経済が混乱しました。

こうした出来事も、米が2番目に選ばれた理由だと思います。
2025年は人々の生活と自然との関係を考えさせられる1年でしたね。
その年を表す漢字としてクマが選ばれたということです。

«SI» vs «SÍ» en español | ¿CON Acento o SIN Acento?
Escribo «SÍ» con un acento cuando es una afirmación:

«Sí, quiero un trozo de tarta».

O es un pronombre personal:

«Para sí mismo».

Se escribe «SI» sin acento cuando es una conjunción:

«Si como mucha tarta, después me duele la tripa».

«SÍ» – con acento, pronombre o afirmación.

«SI» – sin acento, conjunción.
