今日は人間関係についてお話したいと思います。

皆さんは人間関係は自分の鏡という考え方を知っていますか？

この考え方は、「他人の態度や出来事は、自分の内面をや行動パターンを映し出している」あるいは、
「相手の中に見える嫌な部分や扱われ方は自分が自分にしていることと関係している」
というものです。
だから相手を変えようとするより、自分の行動を変える方が現実が変わりすいと言われています。

私は昨日仕事で、相手の方から「後回しにしてしまってすみません」と言われました。
私が自分のことを後回しにしているから、自分の身に起こっているのかもしれないと気が付きました。
そして家族の予定か自分の予定のどちらを優先させるか考えていることがあったので、自分のやりやりたいことを優先して、すぐに自分の予定を入れました。

偶然、母も別件で後回しにされていることにプリプリしていたので、母も自分のことを後回しにしているんだろうなと思い、「自分のことを後回しにしているからだよ」と伝えてみました。

皆さんも、相手の行動で悩んでいることはありませんか？

So when I was deciding which topic to focus on for our second episode I really only needed to look at what the people I work with are actually asking for. One of the most common topics that I discuss with people is presentations. Presentations can be great opportunities to use those English skills that you work so hard on, but they also have their own stresses and challenges. Today we’re going to look at some vocabulary that you might hear when watching a presentation and some that you might want to use when giving your own. At the end we also have our 'big discussion question' to help you with your speaking practice. You can find the vocabulary from this podcast in the vocabulary sets on my profile. 今日も少しだけ、雪がふりました。
どんどん寒くなります。
コロナの感染者も増えているので気をつけようと思っています。


さて、今日は和食について。
みなさんは、和食、と聞いたら何を思い浮かべますか？
寿司？ラーメン？焼肉？
いろんな種類の和食がありますね。

今回はそんな中でも、
日本人の伝統的な食文化としての、和食について、いくつ簡単に話しますね。

季節ごとに楽しめる食材があります。
食を通して家族は絆を強めていました。
一汁三菜いちじゅうさんさい、といって、栄養バランスが良い。

などが特徴です。

他にも、
ローカルな地元の郷土料理がある。
おせち料理、行事の食事など、
たくさんの特徴があります。

日本では、食べる前に、いただきます、
食べた後にごちそうさまでした、といいます。

食材や、料理した人、食べることへの感謝などを手を合わせて言う、ということも日本ならではかもしれませんね。

小さい時ははしの持ち方に苦労したことを今思い出しました。


とはいえ、このような和食の文化はどんどんなくなっているようにも感じます。自分も小さい時に比べると和食を食べることは減りました。

でも、このオンラインレッスンで海外のみなさんと話すことで、もっと日本のことを知りたいなと思うようになりました。みなさんに日本のことを伝えたいと思います。

そのためにも、和食についても少し勉強してみようと思います。時々、Podcastでも和食について話しますね！
