The Dragon Boat Festival The Dragon Boat Festival is one of the most important festivals in China. It falls on May 5 on the lunar calendar. The traditional festivities of the day include dragon boat racing and eating zongzi, which is a traditional Chinese rice dumpling.  Next Monday is the day of The Dragon Boat Festival and this weekend we celebrated the holiday at a friend’s house. We made two flavours of zongzi, sweet and savory. We also had a barbecue and the kids played in the pool. It makes me happy to celebrate traditional Chinese holidays with friends.
