Today would have been a typical relaxing day, however due to a serie of events it has started pretty late. So, after taking a shower, I did whatever I do on weekends, read news, chat with friends, read, listen to music and play a lot with my dog. Even though my dog has just become an “elder” dog, she is still pretty playful and moves a lot. She jumps over fences, brings her toys and more. Ironically, since some time ago my knee has started to hurt so nowadays, the one most athletic is her.

Today would have been a typical relaxing day; however, due to a series of events, it started pretty late. So, after taking a shower, I did what I usually do on weekends—read the news, chatted with friends, read some more, listened to music, and played a lot with my dog.
Even though my dog has recently become an “elder” dog, she is still very playful and active. She jumps over fences, brings her toys, and more. Ironically, my knee has started hurting for some time now, so these days, she is the more athletic one!
1. “Due to a serie of events” → “Due to a series of events”: “Serie” is incorrect; the correct plural form is “series.”
2. “It has started pretty late” → “It started pretty late”: Past simple is more natural here.
3. “Whatever I do on weekends” → “What I usually do on weekends”: More natural phrasing.
4. “Read news” → “Read the news”: “The news” is the correct collocation.
5. “Even though my dog has just become” → “Even though my dog has recently become”: “Recently” is more natural than “just” in this context.
6. “Moves a lot” → “Is still very playful and active”: More descriptive.
7. “Since some time ago my knee has started to hurt” → “My knee has started hurting for some time now”: More natural phrasing.
8. “Nowadays, the one most athletic is her” → “These days, she is the more athletic one!”: More natural word order.
