It was cloudy today, and a storm was expected. MeeMaw swung by in the morning and stayed. Later, she accompanied me while I practiced guitar—having someone watch me play was great motivation. Afterward, Mom chided me for being a little rude to almost everyone lately. She was probably right; I should admit that and say "thank you" more often. In a mischievous twist, Dad brought home a charming chocolate cake but refused to share any with me as punishment. Honestly, I’m beyond the age where withholding cake counts as discipline. Nice try, though. I’ll sneak a slice, perhaps all of it after he falls asleep, and he’ll be beside himself with astonishment.
