I confused mean of "pretty".
I think that means like a "really", "very" and more.
But I realized it also means like a "cute".
When I knew it, I was so surprised.

When I knew it, I was so surprised.
Yes, it can be both an adjective and an adverb. But when it is an adverb, it doesn't quite mean 'very', but more like 'moderately'. So 'pretty cold' is generally less cold than 'very cold'.
