I'd use "face" less and "get/have" more.

We get sunstroke if the weather is hot. If there is heavy rain, we face floods, and if the weather is very cold and there is heavy snow, we face a snowstorm. Ketna, the question means: "What can we do when there is extreme weather/when the weather is extreme.:
