A.  The aim of the project I am currently working on is to find out what book genres are popular among teenagers.

B. The aim of my project, which  I am currently working on, is to find out which book genres are popular among teenagers.

Answer

The first is correct if you are introducing the project to the listener for the first time. It defines which project you are talking about.

The second is not quite correct grammatically. But it also assumes that the listener already knows about the project. You are not introducing it to them.
