Hello everyone! The question is: do you think that to learn English in a very effective way do we have to study every day? Such as vocabulary and grammar. Thank you! 😊

Podcast is the secret, it keeps your skills alive in terms of listening, understanding and speaking... and as well as reading normal books, not the ones about english lessons. Watching TV shows, movies and documentaries, you just have to choose which one to watch, the ones easier for you to understand and see how actually people speak. The goal is speaking like native people do, and studying grammar and vocabularies every single day isn't just enough, and it might not be an effective method, which doesn't mean it isn't, the method to be chosen actually depends on your english level, just make your method something enjoyable to do and not boring or an obligation. I think it heavily depends on your current skill level. At the beginning when you don't know much, I think you will forget things more easily if you don't practise often, but when you are at an advanced level, you can more often figure out what you would otherwise just forget. However, there is so much more to learn at the advanced level, so you may still need to study every day, or close to it, to make tangible progress. The bottom line is, if you love studying a language, you will want to study it every day anyway!

Interesting one. I think it's a bit overstated in terms of importance! I've been missing Italian being stuck back in Australia. Happy to have an Italian/English chat if you want to practice at some point - big fan of grammar so always fun for me. Matt

Hi Corny! I don't think you have to study everyday, but you do have to get involved with the English-speaking world, therefore, you have to listen to music, watch movies, read, etc in English so you develop skills and your brain starts recognizing the language rather than just doing a translation. Feel free to contact me anytime!
