Shenzhen is one of the biggest and most developed cities in China, which is located in the southern part of the country. It has a huge population of about 20 million. Actually It was a small fishing village until 40 years ago. Since the policy Reform and Open started, it has become a special economic area, which means a lot of new experimental policies are allowed to be employed here. Hence, it has attracted a lot of investment and business trade from both inland and abroad, and large amounts of labor resources for that matter. Apparently, these factors make Shenzhen rise rapidly. It has several districts, and each one began to be developed in different eras. For example, the earliest one is Luohu whose development mainly relied on foreign trade before. Next Futian became the economic centre of the city due to its financial industry, as well as the administration centre even today. During the last 20 years, Nanshan has been the fastest growing area. Many high-tech enterprises were built and grew up here, which has become one of the major industries in this city. Some say Shenzhen has created an economic miracle in the world. I totally agree with that. Although there are plenty of problems in this city, such as high housing prices and intensive competition, I still think it is worth our efforts to try to make a living here.
