Wow! That's a complicated reference. Jonestown was a settlement in Guyana set up by Jim Jones, a cult leader. In 1978 he invited his followers to drink Kool-aid (or possibly an alternative called Flavor-aid) which had been mixed with cyanide. Over 900 people died. (The story is more complicated than that, so worth Googling "Jonestown massacre"). Now when people say things like "keep drinking the Kool-aid" they mean "carry on doing this delusional thing that you are doing". In this case, "one Kool-aid away from Jonestown" means, one small step away from disaster.
