Some people want governments to spend money looking for life on other planets. Others, however, think this is a waste of public money when there are so many problems on earth. Discuss both these views and give your own opinion. It is believed that investigating the new life in space could be a priority goal for governments, but the opponents of this idea guess that humanity should resolve the problems on the earth firstly. In my point of view, the new life over other planets could help the human race to live longer. But at the same time the chance to save earth can be more beneficial for the current generation. On the one hand, the idea to research the space for finding new forms of life can help the next generation to live longer. The reason for this could be in understanding the processes outside the earth. As a consequence, it could lead to new knowledge about space and the human race. If the hypothetical opportunity to find the planet as an earth, it could be a great resource for the future. On the other hand, spending money to save the earth can help to obtain a stable life for people who live right now. It can be important because the current problems such as the water or air pollution could destroy the planet before finding the new one. As a result, the human race would not have resources for research. For example, for the space shuttle is crucial to have clear water to start with, if all water over the planet will be polluted it is not possible to use shuttles in space. In conclusion, the necessity to spend public money for finding life on the other planet could have pros and cons but in my point of view this idea can help humans in the long run. Additionally, if the government can combine their efforts for supporting earth and at the same time to do research in space, it could be more beneficial because nobody knows how long it will take to detect the new planet.
